Connection Type Analysis

IP Stack Reachability (IPv4 / IPv6)

Live probes check if your path supports IPv4, IPv6, or both (dual-stack). Each probe hits a tiny Cloudflare trace endpoint. Timeout ≈3.5s.

Note: Current method probes from the edge. If both rows show the same IPv6 value your client IPv4 reachability may still exist; a client-side hostname variant test is planned.

How this works
  • Worker endpoints /probe/ipv4 & /probe/ipv6 force protocol‑specific edge requests.
  • Returned IP = reachable. Timeout/error = likely unavailable / blocked.
  • Both reachable = Dual-stack (optimal performance & failover).
  • Client direct literal probes removed (CSP compatibility + reduced noise).

Classification Details

  • ASN: 16509
  • Organization: Anthropic, PBC
  • Reason: ASN 16509 directly classified

Connection Quality

B Protocol A • TLS A • Latency A • IPv6 C
Why this grade?
  • Using HTTP/2
  • TLS 1.3 security
  • Low latency (16 ms)

How to improve:

  • Network lacks IPv6 support
  • Datacenter IP may indicate VPN/proxy

ℹ️ About This Classification

Connection type uses ASN + organization heuristics. Automated detection can be imperfect.

Data based on public BGP routing + known provider patterns.
